2nd Gen is thrilled to share our new and improved theatre education programming! Expanded to suit our growing student base, these are one semster classes that are offered both in the fall, and the spring! This year there is truly something for everyone.

FALL SEMESTER- SEPTEMBER 9-DECEMBER 18
SPRING SEMSTER- JANUARY 6-MAY 28
$65/mo for 1 hr class, $75/mo for 1.5 hr class
*Non-refundable registration fee of $50 per student, $75 per family, is due upon registration*

BROADWAY MINIS, ages 5-6
$65/mo, TUESDAYS 5-6PM
It is never too early to cultivate a love of theatre! Broadway Minis explores the magic of theatre through developmentally appropriate, age-based instruction in singing, acting, and dancing. Through various games and activities, students can expect to learn and demonstrate the 5 tools of the actor – concentration, cooperation, imagination, body, and voice. We create the perfect environment for students who are looking to get creative, move their bodies, and make new friends! Broadway Minis culminates in an end of semester performance!
journey INTO theatre: acting from page to stage, ages 7-9
$65/mo, TUESDAYS 6-7PM
Start your journey into theatre through play and teamwork! Students will warm up through theatre games in order to build confidence and collaborative skills. Once our creativity is flowing, these young actors will work on creating their own “play” using well known stories. This class culminates in an end of semester performance of their play!
Musical cabaret: Acting Through Song & Dance, ages 10-13
$65/mo, WEDNESDAYS 5-6PM
Dive into the world of musical theatre with this class for budding performers! Students will learn songs and dances from some of their favorite musicals and have a chance to work on solo or small group performances. This class culminates with an end of semester performance!
BE A DESIGNER: THEATRE FROM BEHIND THE CURTAIN, ages 10-13
$65/mo, WEDNESDAYS 6-7PM
Not all theatre artists take to the stage! Create and execute your own designs in this hands-on class. Students will work on make up, costume, set, and even prop designs.
Intermediate Acting, Ages 14-18
$65/mo, THURSDAYS 5-6PM
Students in Intermediate Acting will work on storytelling through scenes and songs, and of course, build relationships on stage and off using teamwork and collaboration through improv. Intermediate Acting culminates in an end of semester performance!
LET’S MAKE A MUSICAL! THEATRE PRODUCTION FOR Ages 14-18
$75/mo, THURSDAYS 6-7:30PM
It takes many different jobs to bring a performance to life, and students enrolled in Theatre Production will get a chance to do all of them! This advanced class focuses on teaching students how to be a director, playwright, designer, stage manager, and producer. Students will start from the basics and build an entire production in just one semester. The final production will be produced and performed in an end of semester performance!

Weather Related Cancellations
SGT Academy classes take place at Mt. St. Mary Academy in the Ken-Ton school district. Weather closures will adhere to Ken-Ton’s decisions. SGT will always alert you if a class is canceled or moved to a digital format.
