AGES 5-17

FALL 2026 Registration is now open!

2nd Gen’s theatre classes are up and running again this season!  Expanded to suit our growing student base, these are one semester classes that are offered both in the Fall and the Spring. This year there is truly something for everyone.

FALL SEMESTER: SEPTEMBER 8-DECEMBER 18
*no classes week of Thanksgiving*

SPRING SEMESTER: JANUARY 11- MAY 20
*no classes February and Spring break*

All classes culminate in an end of semester showcase
(DEC. 20 and MAY 23)

$65/mo
Pay in Full for 10% discount (non-refundable)

*Non-refundable registration fee of $50 per student, $75 per family, is due upon registration*
(registration fee due once a year)

Tuition is based on a course fee and remains the same regardless of attendance. This includes any school closings due to holiday and cancellation due to natural causes (i.e. snow-days). There will be no make-ups or refunds for missed lessons.

BROADWAY MINIS, ages 5-6 

MONDAYS 5-6PM

It is never too early to cultivate a love of theatre! Broadway Minis explores the magic of theatre through developmentally appropriate, age-based instruction in singing, acting and dancing. Through various games and activities, students can expect to learn and demonstrate the 5 tools of the actor – concentration, cooperation, imagination, body, and voice.  We create the perfect environment for students who are looking to get creative, move their bodies, and make new friends!  Must be appropriate age by December 1.

JOURNEY INTO MUSICALS: Storytelling through song and dance

AGES 7-9

TUESDAYS 5-6PM with Mel Stang

Who doesn’t love bursting into song and dance?! Students will warm up their bodies through movement & mind and voice through theatre games in order to build confidence and collaborative skills. These young actors will put their acting tools to use by learning songs and dances to perform on stage!  Must be appropriate age by December 1.

JOURNEY INTO ACTING 

AGES 7-9

TUESDAYS 6-7PM with Mel Stang

SStart your journey into theatre through play and teamwork! Students will warm up through theatre games in order to build confidence and collaborative skills. Once our creativity is flowing, these young actors will work on creating their own scenes to perform on stage! Must be appropriate age by December 1.

ACTING 101, AGES 10-13

WEDNESDAYS 5-6PM with Maria Kreutinger

Students in Acting 101 will work on storytelling through scenes, improvisational work, creative games, and of course, build relationships on stage and off using teamwork and collaboration through improv. Must be appropriate age by December 1.

THEATRE IS EVERYWHERE! ages 10-13

WEDNESDAYS 6-7PM with Maria Kreutinger

In this exciting and interactive theatrical experience, students will explore the many different forms of theater while building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills. Throughout the program, students will discover how theater can be found everywhere — on stage, in film, through music, storytelling, movement, and even behind the scenes. Whether performing on stage, working with puppets, helping behind the scenes, or creating characters, every student will have an opportunity to demonstrate their unique talents and creativity. Must be appropriate age by December 1.

Intermediate Acting, ages 13-17 

THURSDAYS 5-6PM with Leah Berst

Students in Intermediate Acting will work on storytelling through scenes and songs, and of course, build relationships on stage and off using teamwork and collaboration through improv.  Must be appropriate age by December 1.

Musical Cabaret for Teens, ages 13-17 

THURSDAYS 6-7PM

Dive into the world of musical theatre with this class for budding performers! Students will learn songs and dances from some of their favorite musicals and have a chance to work on large and small group performances, focusing on telling a story through song. Must be appropriate age by December 1.

Weather Related Cancellations
SGT Academy classes take place at Mt. St. Mary Academy in the Ken-Ton school district. Weather closures will adhere to Ken-Ton’s decisions. SGT will always alert you if a class is canceled or moved to a digital format.
