Second Generation Theatre Academy offers a variety of theatre classes for kids in and around Buffalo, NY.

THEATRE DANCE
Tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm (January 7th-February 11th)
Open to ages 6-13, Explore all kinds of theatre dance in this no-experience-needed class. Options are given for newcomers and experienced dancers alike, so you can dance your heart out!

BECOME A DESIGNER
Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm (January 8th-February 12th)
Open to ages 6-13, Students will learn about costume design, scene design, and prop design! The class will culminate in the students designing their very own scene on a miniature scale. Great for craft lovers!

ACTING GAMES
Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm (January 9th-February 13th)
Open to ages 6-13, Always a favorite, this class is for newbies and pros alike. Learn about confidence, creativity, and teamwork- all disguised as FUN!

Second Generation Theatre is hosting a master class geared toward aspiring actors in HIGH SCHOOL! THE BUSINESS OF THEATRE will be taught by Jenna Winnett, a Managing Agent and Partner of the boutique NYC talent agency Boals, Winnett & Associates. This class is PERFECT for teenagers interested in pursuing an Acting Career! Open to ages 14-18 – No experience required!

Sunday, February 16th from 3:00-4:30pm

In this class, we will discuss the business side of the Entertainment Industry. It will not only prepare aspiring actors for the start of a career, but give them tips and tools to sustain a life as a working actor in Theatre and TV/Film. Students will walk away with a knowledge of industry standards, a glossary for terms learned from 10 years of experience from a partner at a NYC boutique agency.

Topics will include:
-Audition prep
-How to market yourself
-Headshots, resumes, reels and clips
-Self submissions and networking
-Working with Agents and Managers, and how to maintain a positive relationship with your representation

CANCELLATION POLICY

Class purchases are non-refundable except in the case of a weather-related emergency. With 48 hours notice of start of session, participants may cancel and keep the balance on their account for an upcoming class/event.

WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS

SGT Academy classes take place at Mt. St. Mary Academy in the Ken-Ton school district. Weather closures will adhere to Ken-Ton’s decisions. SGT will always alert you if a class is canceled or moved to a digital format!
